City Eye exists to inspire and promote film and video culture.
Based in Southampton, City Eye are here to support the community, arts organisations, individuals, emerging talent and established talent in the achievement of filmmaking goals. They achieve this through a wide range of projects and activities including production work, an education offering and screening programmes including Southampton Film Week.
City Eye began its journey as Southampton Film and Video Co-operative in April 1986 dedicated to making and screening film and video, providing training workshops, educational events and regular meetings to enable discussion and exchange ideas.
As a community film and video company they are very fortunate to work with the broadest range of groups, organisations and individuals.
Their video projects and productions encompass all styles and content from documentary, evaluation, promotion, training, education, live events and narratives. Their services include full project management and implementation, budgeting, scripting, production, filming, editing, DVD production and project consultancy.
If you are an organisation, school or group that wants to use video to get your message across contact City Eye to discuss it from script to screen.
City Eye offers a whole range of support to filmmakers whether you are a first timer or have a few films under your belt. From structured production awards, screenings and networking events through to one to one advice sessions.
In addition to the annual Southampton Film Week, City Eye regularly organises and supports a number of other events and film screenings to broaden the opportunities for everyone to engage with film in its widest sense and providing an opportunity for filmmakers to present their work to an audience, network with other filmmakers and receive feedback on their films.
