Fredericks Foundation This charity helps disadvantaged people to set up, or expand their own business as a means to achieve financial independence. Loan applications are welcome from individuals who can demonstrate credit refusals from mainstream lenders, having made a genuine application for funds that has been turned down.
New Enterprise Allowance This scheme helps unemployed people who want to start a business, with an emphasis on sustainability and growth potential. It is available to people aged 18 and over who have been claiming Jobseeker's Allowance for three months or more.
Prince's Trust Enterprise Programme This programme supports unemployed young people aged 18-30 to work out if their business ideas are viable and whether self-employment is right for them.
