This unique offer aims to help businesses grow, defend against competition, and increase customer loyalty and simply get found when consumers increasingly search online.

Background

Nominet, the UK internet registry seeks to ensure that everyone benefits from the internet, as a force for good. They have partnered with Scoot the online business directory to create a unique offer that makes it quick, simple and very inexpensive for any business to experience the first stages of creating a website and setting up a professional email address containing the name of their business or charity.

The first year price is £1. This allows mature offline businesses a low price, low risk, hand held set up to experience website, email, and 120 listings on the Scoot business directories. The normal price is over £300p.a. so it's a massive saving that encourages businesses and local charities to try it without risk.

If they have benefited from having a website, and want to continue after first year it's their choice. The 2nd year price is also heavily reduced at£29.99. If they wish to switch or adopt a different approach they are always free to do so. Normal market prices are far in excess of this for a similar package of services.

The website offered is a basic one page site. Most businesses will want more fairly rapidly as they start to understand more about how a website can build local and national presence, and they are free to contact local web designers or Scoot (www.scoot.co.uk) to implement a more developed website design with added pages and features as their needs grow.
