Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a UK-wide programme helping businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within UK Universities.
KTP's involve the formation of a partnership between business and Southampton Solent University, enabling companies to access skills and expertise to help the company develop. The partnership also involves the transfer of knowledge delivered by a graduate, who works within the company and is jointly supervised by the company and the academic expert.
What can KTP offer you?
By participating in KTP you can:
- Access highly qualified people to spearhead new projects
- Access experts who can help take your business forward
- Develop innovative solutions to help your business grow
- Develop your business for tomorrow's market
A KTP is part-funded by a government grant and the business contribution depends on the scale and length of the project, and will also depend on the size of your company.
The budget will cover the costs of employing a full-time Associate to work at the company, academic support and a project budget to cover travel and consumables.
