Local Enterprise Partnerships

Local Enterprise Partnerships

Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) are locally-owned partnerships between local authorities and businesses across natural economic areas.

LEPs play a central role in determining local economic priorities and undertaking activities to drive economic growth and the creation of local jobs. Within Hampshire we have two LEP's.

Solent Local Enterprise Partnership

The Solent Local Enterprise Partnership is represented by leading local business people, four university partners, the further education sector, local authorities and the voluntary and community sector all working together to secure a more prosperous and sustainable future for the Solent area.

The Solent LEP's vision is to create an environment which will facilitate growth and private sector investment in the Solent area, enabling existing businesses to expand and create more jobs, supporting new businesses to start up and succeed and encouraging a low carbon economy to develop and prosper.

M3 Local Enterprise Partnership

The Enterprise M3 area stretches from the hinterland of London to the New Forest. It covers four major interconnected urban centres Farnborough, Basingstoke, Woking and Guildford the city of Winchester, areas with growth potential such as Whitehill and Bordon, as well as many smaller towns and villages.
