Community Buildings Capital Fund 2019/20

The Community Buildings Capital Fund supports capital based projects including refurbishment and improvement of Hampshire community centres, village halls and charitable and voluntary organisations (which offer a full and varied open access community programme).
Hampshire County Council can fund up to a maximum of 50% of the total project costs not exceeding a maximum grant of £25,000.
The aim of this funding programme is to focus on projects which provide improvements that reduce running costs and develop facilities which support early intervention and prevention through helping people to stay safe, eat well, be active, access information and advice and connect with others.

Community Investment Fund 2019/20

The Community Investment Fund supports community based organisations delivering services/projects/activities which support the priorities and outcomes of Hampshire County Council’s Serving Hampshire – Strategic Plan 2017-2021.

Priority is given to organisations serving communities with high levels of multiple deprivation. This is taken into consideration when calculating the value of any award. You can apply for amounts over £5000.

County Councillor Grants

Each County Councillor will receive an annual budget, to be allocated to local projects, initiatives or organisations in their Division. Legitimate groups and organisations, but not individuals, will be able to apply to their local Councillor for a grant.

Groups and organisations (but not individuals) can apply for funding for both revenue (one-off) and minor capital projects. Revenue grants should generally be used to support short term project related costs e.g. a time limited activity group for children. It is expected that the grants will benefit a wide range of groups/activities: for example, vulnerable children or adults, young people, facilities for older people, community facilities, parish councils (but only for specific projects), schools minor traffic or safety works, local environment projects, and community safety.

The opening date for the scheme is 1 June and the deadline for submitting grant requests is the 28 February in each financial year.The minimum grant payable is £100 and the maximum grant payable is £8,000. Councillors are encouraged to fully utilise their annual grant allocation in the financial year in question. Any unspent budget cannot be carried forward.
